As Managing Director at MPA, I bring 35 years of investment banking and capital markets experience, helping clients with financing, M&A, valuations, advice, fairness opinions, and expert witness testimony with a career in Montreal and Toronto. 

Prior to joining MPA, I was CEO of JCIC Asset Management and Vice Chairman of Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets. I also held roles in investment banking at Midland Walwyn and RBC Dominion Securities, having completed over $60B in transactions over my career. I have a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and am a Chartered Investment Manager.

I have served on the boards of TSX-listed Velan Inc. (Chair of the Audit Committee), Alpine Canada, Partners for Mental Health, the Montreal General Hospital Corporation, and others. 

What I love about what I do is getting to know the client and their business and becoming a trusted advisor. Some of the best advice I have given is recommending against proceeding on a deal. With many of my clients, the relationship spans decades and includes several transactions.
